What is the herb sage used for?

The leaf can be used to make medicine. Sage is used to treat digestive problems such as gas (flatulence), stomach pains (gastritis), diarrhea and bloating. Sage is also used to reduce the production of saliva and perspiration, as well as for depression, memory loss and Alzheimer's disease.
